High-speed chase from Idaho ends in Ontario, Oregon: Suspects apprehended post-crash

Ontario Police Department says a vehicle pursuit began in Owyhee County, Idaho, on Dec. 6, with the vehicle being pursued into Ontario, Oregon, on I-84 westbound.

The pursued vehicle recklessly took the I-84 376 exit at East Idaho Avenue and crashed into another. The operator of the other involved vehicle was not injured. Both occupants of the pursued vehicle fled from the scene, running toward the apartment complex at 1257 NE 3rd Avenue.

Ontario Police and Oregon State Police were able to locate one subject after he entered an apartment and was subdued by the apartment's tenant. The second subject was located nearby. Both were taken into custody without incident.

Ontario Police asks anyone who witnessed the crash or the subjects fleeing the scene to contact the Maller County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center at (541)473-5125. Reference Ontario Police Department case number P202308949 and request to speak with an officer regarding what you witnessed.
